Wiltshire-based classic auction house Richard Edmonds have announced two significant changes to their operation from 2012. The first is a relocation to a larger site within the Castle Combe racing complex with room for over 1000 people during viewing and bidding.
Secondly – and we think this is a first for a UK classic auction house - all three of their 2012 sales will be two-day events, rather than the usual single day. The first of these two-day sales is to take place on March 9/10 (Friday/Saturday) with automobilia coming under the hammer on the first day and cars on the second.
Here, the sale of automobilia is given the same importance as the sale of complete cars, and the March automobilia sale will include the Andrew Booth collection; 2-300 lots of Riley spares, many extremely rare and all likely to be of interest to owners of Rileys and people building Riley-based specials. Cars expected on the Saturday include a 1937 DKW and a 1935 Rolls Royce 20/25 Sports Saloon Gurney Nutting which is estimated at £45,000-£50,000, For the motorbike enthusiast there is the 1950 Vincent Comet, 500cc in at £8,000-£12,000.
Other sale dates for 2012 are June 29/30 and October 26/27. For more information contact Richard Edmonds on 01249 444544 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it |
